DC vs RR: Deccan Chargers set 138-run target for Rajasthan Royals

NEW DELHI: Siddharth Trivedi (3-15) and Shane Warne (2-21) helped Rajasthan Royals restrict Deccan Chargers to 137/8 in their Indian Premier League match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.


Trivedi was peak of the bowlers for Royals as he took three crucial wickets of Deccan skipper Kumar Sangakkara (0), Bharat Chipli (6) and Daniel Christian (26) and also conceded just 15 runs in his four overs.

Scorecard

Royals captain Warne struck two crucial wickets as he dismissed JP Duminy (14) and Ishank Jaggi (25).

Chargers lost Sangakkara (0) and Shikhar Dhawan (24) in quick succession after a flying start.

Siddharth Trivedi clean bowled Bharat Chipli in the eighth over to reduce Chargers to 53/3.

Trivedi also dismissed Sangakkara for nought in the sixth over after Amit Singh provided Royals crucial breakthrough in the previous over.

Amit Singh scalped Dhawan after Deccan openers added 40 runs. Dhawan hit a six and two fours in his quick-fire 24 off 15 balls.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bowl first against Deccan Chargers in the second match of the IPL 4 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
