New Delhi, Oct 2 (PTI) Ritwik Bhattacharya showed remarkable grit and determination after being two games down as India stunned host Denmark in the mens's world Team Squash Championship today.
The win has taken India to the 17th position play-off match against Asian rivals Hong Kong tomorrow at the Squash Centre in city of Odense.
The first match witnessed heroics from Ritwik, who in a nerve-wrecking clash defeated the Danish top seed Rusmus Nielsen 4-11, 12-10, 1-9, 11-9, 11-8 in 52min.
After losing the first game easily, Ritwik failed to capitalise his 10-6 lead in the second game. But the world number 65 then stepped on the gas and kept his opponent behind with excellent volleying and consistency.
